Last week, I found myself in a rather amusing situation. There I was, standing in the lift (that’s an elevator for my American friends), watching people do that peculiarly British dance of apologizing to each other for… well, existing. And it struck me: we spend more time apologizing for taking up space than we do thinking about what truly matters in our professional lives.
